Reflecting Together: Place-Based Prompts and Poetry “Walkshop”

I had the opportunity of leading a reflection on the lives of Phillis, Rose, and Fanny, three enslaved women buried at the Cathedral of St. John & Burial Ground, in Providence. This work is part of the Center for Reflective History exploration of revolutionary legacies through poetry, place, and dialogue. It happened during the 2026 Joint Conference of the American Association For State and Local History and the National Council on Public History.
