Performing at Luna Loba 11/05/17

from my performance of The Cycle of Life.
In many countries girls are taught to wash their underwear when they take a shower. Sometimes the ritual becomes synonymous with being clean, caring, a "proper woman". The cycle of life explores washing your panties as a symbol of liberation from the burden of being "good". Washing underwear as a ritual of healing for all the little girls of the world, who have ever been catcalled, harassed, molested or raped. I placed a Band-Aid on each pin to symbolize healing as a process.
Thanks to Jose Ramirez for the pictures!
